Hello, fellow HAM radio enthusiasts! There are both experienced and new members on this forum. I would like to encourage everyone to upload their logs to the log website as soon as possible after completing a contact.
1. I'm not going to explain how to upload logs here; there are relevant resources available on various online platforms, such as this Bilibili group. So, I won't be providing a tutorial here.
2. Let's discuss why it's important to share your logs. For you, logging provides several benefits:
* You can record information about the other person, such as their callsign, location (QTH), equipment (RIG, ANT), and power level (WATTS), if they provide this information to you.
* When you communicate with them again, you'll know that you've already made contact with them before.
For others:
* Your logs allow them to verify that you have indeed made contact with you.
* They can use your logs to complete their own QSO records and potentially earn awards from organizations like the ARRL (American Radio Relay League) or DXCC (International Database of Contesters).
3. Most importantly: Others need your logs.
4. With the internet so developed, it shouldn't take you 5-10 minutes to upload a log. Please upload promptly, even if you only do it once a week or month. However, please make sure you actually do it, for example, I will upload my log on the 30th, okay, please make sure to upload it between the 30th and the 2nd. Some HAMs in QRZ write that they upload once a week, but in reality, they haven't uploaded their logs in two weeks... Please everyone, please upload your logs promptly.
4. If you are charging for log uploads, please clearly indicate this on the QRZ website.
5. It's now 2023, so please use electronic logs instead of handwritten ones.
6. You can record everything on paper, but please use an electronic log for the shortwave band. Since we're all using FT8, shouldn't we also be transmitting logs?
To ensure a successful start for our wireless communication system and enable it to operate effectively over longer distances, please promptly submit your logs.
Please don't ask about which logging software to use in this post.
